Understanding money and personal finance. Finances are relevant to all aspects and stages of our lives, so it is important to be literate in how to manage money.

However, when it comes to finances, many of us are unsure where to begin. According to the Centre for Social Impact, financial wellbeing is a state in which a person: ‘is able to meet expenses and has some money left over; is in control of their finances; and feels financially secure, now and in the future’.

This Financial Literacy program aims to help individuals increase their financial wellbeing and understand their own relationship with money by boosting knowledge and confidence when it comes to managing their finances.

Learners will become familiar with:
• Basic Financial Vocabulary and Numeracy
• Saving and Spending
• Budgeting
• Financial Goals
• Banking
• Saving for the Future
