February 2025 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm AEDT
Join us for a special (and musical) Sunday Session celebrating our exhibition A Secret Chord, which explores the deep connections between music, rhythm, and movement in our multicultural community.
This live music session features the talented Naomi Robinson, a multi-instrumentalist and composer from Perth, Western Australia. Currently completing her studies in classical guitar at the University of Melbourne, Naomi brings an eclectic musical palette that spans flamenco, Spanish and classical guitar – and her unique touch of apocalyptic stoner jazz bass. Her deep fascination with the connections between flamenco and Jewish music and her appreciation of classical guitar (including composers like Torroba and Manuel De Falla) adds soulful depth to her performances.
Tickets include entry to our current exhibitions, including A Secret Chord: Music, Rhythm & Movement in the Jewish Museum of Australia Collection and I could have danced all night by Danielle Brustman, as well as our recently refurbished permanent galleries and spaces.
