Meet David Sherr whose dedication to serving the Jewish community spans over three decades. He was President of the Melbourne Hebrew Congregation and served on the Board of Management for over 30 years, also Council Member of Orthodox Synagogues of Victoria and Honorary Secretary from 1997 to 2007. David was awarded 2005 Victoria’s Multicultural Award for Meritorious Service in the Community and received the Order of Australia Medal in 2023 for Jewish Community services. David’s passion and support for the community continues to this day, as an enthusiastic Board Member of Magon David Adom. He understands the significance of MDA from the perspective of the MDA Society in Melbourne, and will be speaking on this important topic.
