The Museum & The Modern: Elise Esther Hearst & Anna Kate Blair in Conversation

Join us at the Jewish Museum of Australia for a glass of wine and a celebration of literature and modern art.

Authors Elise Esther Hearst and Anna Kate Blair will discuss their debut novels set in museums in Melbourne and New York respectively. Elise is an alumnus of the Jewish Museum of Australia and writes about a fictional version of our very own Museum, while Anna worked at and writes about the Museum of Modern Art.

In a conversation moderated by Museum Director & CEO Noè Harsel, Elise and Anna will talk about their novels that explore of the lives of women working in the arts and grappling with identity, relationships, culture and the mysterious unknown futures that lay ahead of them.

There will be an opportunity to purchase copies of both novels before you wander upstairs to view CHAGALL and ponder the colourful and whimsical artworks of a 20th century master.
