Description
We provide kindness and compassion to women dealing with the loneliness, stress and trauma of IVF, infertility and pregnancy loss.
We provide care packs with chicken or vegetable soup, tissues, chocolate and a card of tehilim. It’s our way of letting someone know that someone cares about her, and the pain she is going through. The care packs are designed to give someone, in need, a “hug”. (Only available in Melbourne)
And we provide confidential assistance with Taharat HaMishpacha (family purity/mikveh) to any woman in Australia and New Zealand, with advice in either Sephardi or Ashkenazi tradition.
We’re here to help. If you don’t have a Rabbi, or you attend an Ashkenazi Synagogue but want advice with a Sephardi tradition, or you are uncomfortable about asking a man (your Rabbi) about personal details regarding menstruation, intimacy, or other family purity issues, we can assist you. Submit your question/concern to our caring (female) FOSY Coordinator who will liaise with our rabbi, Rabbi Benjamin Kessly, and then provide an answer to you. It’s all confidential. Your personal identification details will not be shared with Rabbi Kessly, only your question.
Disclaimer – Friends of Sassoon Yehuda (FOSY) is not intended to provide medical advice and should not be relied on as such. If you are experiencing health concerns, you are encouraged to seek medical advice from an appropriately qualified medical practitioner
