• Andrea is a qualified Mental Health Social Worker and Family Therapist who brings a broad spectrum of knowledge and skill to the therapeutic setting with decades Experience in specialty areas of Medical Social Work and Child and Family Welfare.

Andrea works with individuals from adolescents to the elderly. She embraces working from a Family Systems perspective engaging with couples and the broader family unit with a variety of techniques to achieve best practice outcomes.

Andrea believes that therapy is a conversation, a respectful interaction between people, where issues, needs and goals are addressed. She prioritizes client engagement with the therapeutic process by being authentic, warm, compassionate and open minded.

Andrea bases her approach on “where the client is at”. She believes clients benefit from a myriad of approaches targeted through experiencing emotional support, education and psychotherapy.

Her focuses is to encourage clients to realize their strengths in problem solving .Therapy provided is tailored to the client’s needs with options of Brief Solution Focused Therapy to extended Psychotherapy.

Andrea enjoys group work and has diverse experience in facilitating workshops on issues such as chronic illness, or how to engage with adolescents.
