NCJWA Vic - Caring Mums program

Caring Mums is a free, confidential, non- denominational, service providing emotional support to mothers of newborn babies and pregnant women.

The program developed in response to the growing awareness that women often feel very alone at a time when they most need to feel connected to and supported by others. The pressure on mothers today is huge and bridging the gap between their dream of motherhood and its reality can be very challenging.

The program matches trained volunteers, all of whom are mothers themselves, to new mums with the goal of developing a secure trusting relationship in order to provide emotional support to help create a sense of “the village”.

We believe that no mother should have to feel alone on her journey of motherhood!
