Are you creative? Alongside your primary role, occupation or area of study, do you like to paint, write stories, or take photographs? Are you a member of a community dance troupe or theatrical company? Do you sing, play an instrument, or write songs? Perhaps you make film, your own computer games or simply like to help others enjoy their creativity.
If this description describes the kind of things you like to do, we would like to invite you to become a participant in Mapping Australian Homemade, Amateur & Do-it-Yourself Cultural Economies. This project is funded by the Australian Research Council and aims to produce a detailed study of the contribution of the 45% of Australians who creatively participate in the arts as producers of forms as varied as poetry, music and fine art.
As a prospective participant in the study, we ask you to take part in an interview to tell us about how creativity plays a part in your life. We envisage meeting at your convenience for around 60 minutes of your time. The interview will be recorded in audio and can take place in person, at home or on a university campus, or online via Zoom.
We are looking for adult participants (18+) of any age and background who engage in creative pursuits outside of their primary role, occupation or area of study. We are interested in any area of creativity, frequent or infrequent.
