As we approach the first anniversary of the October 7 attacks, we know that many in our community will be experiencing increased feelings of grief and distress. For some, this may be further exacerbated by the onset of the High Holy Days – a time when loneliness and loss are often felt more acutely.
To provide some additional support during this challenging time, Jewish Care’s Social Services team is offering a helpline-style support service in the weeks surrounding the October 7 anniversary.
If you would like to talk with someone who understands – we’re here to listen. Any community member who is experiencing distress can book a 45-minute telephone appointment with a trained staff member from our Social Work and Clinical Psychology teams.
Bookings can be made at https://calendly.com/jewishcare/oct-7-support; by scanning the QR code below; or via the dedicated helpline number at (03) 8517 5996.
