AJP Mission Statement
The Australian Jewish Psychologists Inc. was established to make a professional contribution to the Jewish Community primarily in the form of response and recovery in relation to critical incidents and to provide a forum for discussion of issues relevant to Jewish psychologists. All members must be an AHPRA registered Jewish psychologist.
AJP aims to provide:
1. Availability to provide psychological support in the event of critical incidents in the Jewish community.
2. An opportunity for members to network with other Jewish psychologists for personal and professional advancement and to share interests.
3. A forum for collaboration for research and professional development.
4. A forum to join with other Jewish and non-Jewish groups to share knowledge and expertise.
5. A resource to the Jewish community and the community at large, by providing a register detailing the expertise and interests of members.
6. A resource for organisations for consultation and provision of information concerning Jewish issues and for those who work with Jewish clients.
7. Mentoring and support for young Jewish psychologists and Probationary psychologists.
8. Neutrality on political and social matters.
