Suicide:
Jewish Care has a range of services to assist people with multiple and complex needs including those with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and suicide and their families.
Sexual Abuse:
Jewish Care supports community members impacted by all forms of family violence and sexual abuse.
Social workers are trained in MARAM (the new risk assessment framework for family violence) and have expertise in and ability to support with safety planning, court preparation and activities related to enhancing the safety of victim/survivors including children.
Child Protection:
Jewish Care receives state funding for Community Child and Family Services. Referrals for parenting support in relation to child welfare and well being come from Child Protection, Police, The Orange Door and directly from the Community.
For service providers, if you are unsure if a matter is reaching the threshold whereby Child Protection or the Police should be involved, Jewish Care’s Social workers can offer you consultation and assistance in your decision making.
Addiction:
Jewish Care has a range of services including social work, housing, financial counsellors, material aid and more to assist people with multiple and complex needs including those with alcohol and other drug issues. Active referral to specialist drug and alcohol services is also an offering.
Relationship Violence:
Jewish Care supports community members impacted by all forms of family violence.
Social workers are trained in MARAM (the Multiagency Risk Assessment and Management Framework) and have expertise in and ability to support with safety planning, court preparation and activities related to enhancing the safety of victim/survivors including children.
