Description

Jews in Recovery is the only Melbourne based Jewish Recovery Community, where in total anonymity, recovering addicts meet fortnightly for spiritual growth, friendship, support and guidance.
Both men women, young and old, “old timers” and “new comers”, from Toorak to Rippen lee, participate in Jews In Recovery meetings. This disease does not discriminate.
The group is a powerful recovery resource, and members are always happy to assist and be of service in any way they can. They relay firsthand experience when it comes to meetings, rehabs and recovery medicine professionals.
The group is directed by Rabbi Velly Slavin, who has been working with dedication with the recovery community for 5 year now and has keen insight and experience with dealing with the nexus between recovery and Jewish spirituality.
