Description
Courage to Care is a not-for-profit organisation delivering Upstander Programs to schools, workplaces and organisations across Victoria.
Delivered by our team of skilled and dedicated volunteers and featuring inspiring first-person testimonies from Holocaust Survivor Speakers who were saved by Upstander action, our Upstander Programs promote acceptance of diversity within our community. Programs transform bystander behaviour by demonstrating the core fact that a bystander is never neutral and offering participants practical tools for standing up against racism, bullying and prejudice. Participants are empowered to take positive action – in the schoolyard, workplaces, and in our communities.
Growing in reach year after year, we have now delivered Upstander Programs to more than 142,000 students. By the end of our 30th year we aim to reach a further 30,000 students. We call this our 30/30 Vision.
Our social enterprise also delivers Upstander Programs to community groups, workplaces and as Teacher Professional Development.
It is the help of our supporters that keeps us going. Whether financial, moral or otherwise; our supporters are vital.
Our work relies on the efforts of a dedicated team of passionate and trained volunteers who deliver our Upstander Programs at no cost to schools.
