The Kadimah is thrilled to be hosting an evening in Yiddish with Prof Samuel Kassow, well known in Melbourne as an outstanding speaker and historian.
He is visiting Australia courtesy of the Melbourne Holocaust Museum, with additional support from the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation, Monash University.
Prof Kassow’s most recent publication, a translation of Rokhl Auerbach’s Warsaw Testament, has received rave reviews in the mainstream and Jewish press.
He is the Northam Professor of History at Trinity College and has been a visiting professor at many institutions. He was on the team of scholars that planned the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw.
