Description
The Jam Project is a program for Year 9 girls. It’s an opportunity to build your confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills. So, if you’re interested in discovering more about yourself, exploring relationships and finding inspiration, please get in touch.
Fortnightly buddy catch-ups
When you join The Jam Project, we’ll pair you with a buddy – a female in her 20s who will be there to support and guide you throughout the year.
You’ll meet with her fortnightly to discuss any issues you’re facing or emotions you’re feeling. Connecting with someone who’s walked in your shoes not so long ago – and not in your inner circle – can:
Give you a fresh perspective
Provide a safe space for you to open up
Allow you to ask questions without fear of judgement
And who knows, you might come back as a buddy yourself in just a few years!
Monthly Jam Sessions
Throughout the year, you’ll attend monthly events and presentations from inspiring guest speakers. For example, in 2019 we heard from Rebecca Sparrow, author and ambassador for tween and teen girls.
Our Jam Sessions cover different topics every year – but here’s a snapshot of what we’ve explored in the past:
Resilience
Feminism
Mental health awareness
Entrepreneurship
Social justice
Self defence
Jam Sessions also create the opportunity for you to meet and connect with other participants.
