We have multiple volunteer opportunities for our various programs listed below.
Emergency support services
We provide 24/7 support services for children with special needs and their families. When needed we will arrange emergency babysitting services and make ourselves available to families at all times.
Sunday program
Every Sunday morning, volunteers and participants meet for joint programs. In addition we arrange Sunday programs specifically for boys to encourage social interaction. For our girls we also have a special initiative to teach them female empowerment
Camps and WOW events
Certain weeks we run special full-day events which include Scienceworks and musicals! Every year, Friendship Circle runs a winter and a summer day camp packed with awesome excursions and daily programs. Participants are paired with volunteers and together they enjoy a week of fun and interactive activities!
Sibling programs
Once a month volunteers and siblings of children with special needs meet for fun joint activities such as visiting Luna Park, bowling and more! Suitable for volunteers from year 7 and up!
Home buddies
Once a week, some of our devoted volunteers visit individuals with special needs and their siblings at their homes. This programs provides friendship and much needed help for families involved.
Girl’s Space
A monthly girl’s empowerment program for our young ladies and dedicated volunteers providing inclusive activities and friendship.
Boy’s Zone
A monthly energetic and fun program for our boys and volunteers where they are able to connect in a more intimate environment.
The Friendship Circle’s mission is (1) to provide Jewish children who have special needs with a full range of social, recreational, educational and Judaic experiences; (2) to provide their parents with respite and support; and (3) to enrich, inspire and motivate Jewish teenagers through sharing of themselves with others.
