Mitzvah Day

Mitzvah Day is on the third Sunday of November. This year it is on Sunday 21 November 2021.

Mitzvah Day is an annual fun day where people of all ages and abilities join together to spend one day volunteering in a variety of Projects (activities). The activities are intended to give others a little joy and sense of community belonging as we reach out to the Jewish and wider communities. Groups and individuals choose and organise their own Projects. Or you are welcome to join in activities organised by others. Each year there are a large variety of actives with something to suit everyone of all ages and abilities.

All new Project registrations will receive a Welcome pack and merchandise, including our groovy green Mitzvah Day t-shirts.

Registration and participation is free and we welcome everyone…schools, shules, nursing homes, disability groups, community groups, charities, birthday groups, b’nei mitvah groups, all organisations and individuals.

It’s easy to join in:

1. Choose and arrange a Project or check our website to join an existing Project;
2. Register your Project or request to join an existing one – at www.mitzvahday.org.au
3. Ask your friends, family, colleagues and community to join you.
