This week Israel advocacy presentation on the emergency war crisis campaign initiative kicked off with a huge turn out of participants coming to hear our home bread passionate Israeli educational leader; Erez Feinberg; an Israel Field Nation and Society expert, Chair of the Hebrew language and Israeli society and culture at Zionism Victoria and Head of Co-Curricular at SFPS. Erez also has deep ancestral roots in Jerusalem as an eighth generation Jerusalemite.
Erez introduced the session with great expertise and knowledge about the current war in Israel. The main topics which Erez touched on was the deep connection of the Jewish people to the land of Israel. The history of the Jewish people and the truth about the origins of this conflict. The session delved into the different empires that ruled the land of Israel more than 3,500 years; nonetheless, he went on to say that hope and faith in our Jewish spirit has never been forgotten; and there is a clear mission as to who we are and our purpose and meaning in life. During the session Erez also spoke about the origins of Islam in the region and presented an overview of the different ideologies and regimes of the Arabs in the Middle East and world wide. Erez explained the main part of the conflict lies in the Jihad ideology which has progressively developed throughout ages which lead to the atrocities committed by Hamas on our people on the deadly day; 7th Oct 2023. Erez continued to discuss actual facts, proof, evidence which is presented in many leadership discussion in Israel and Israeli media and he uncovered the ins and outs of the current war as to what is really happening in Israel on all fronts. Erez concluded and provided a comprehensive understanding, clarity and hope to the future of Israel.
The evening was emotional, meaningful and heartwarming where the community came together as one and stood in support, unity, warmth and love. Erez expressed we all have a collective responsibility to make this world a better place and that never again is now. Erez finished up the evening by initiating a group solidarity huddle where the entire group of participants stood arm in arm embracing in a circle whilst singing the Hatikva. The Hope.
