Sara Gold is a dedicated community leader, lawyer and a proud advocate for the Jewish people. She currently serves as Co-President of JNF and has held leadership roles on the JNF board and twice president. Her extensive community involvement includes serving on the boards of The Social Blueprint, Friends of Yad Vashem, The Arava Committee, and Royal Children’s Hospital 1000. She was previously on the board of the Ziva Shavitzky Foundation at Melbourne University’s Centre for Jewish Studies, among other affiliations.
Sara’s deep Jewish pride and commitment to her heritage stem from her family’s powerful history. She shares the remarkable journey of her parents, who endured the hardships of war in Poland, met in Germany, and eventually built a new life in Australia. Their resilience has inspired Sara’s unwavering dedication to ensuring the lessons of the past strengthen the Jewish community today.
A pioneer in the legal field, Sara and her late husband, Saul Gold, founded the first lawyer-owned conveyancing firm following the deregulation of the industry. Their work set new standards in the field, demonstrating both innovation and expertise.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sara’s personal journey is one of hope and renewal. After the passing of her beloved husband Saul, she found love again and is now happily remarried to Sidney Gaddie. She shares her story to inspire others, proving that even after loss, new beginnings and happiness are possible.
